Product: Maximum Tech
Rating: 4.00
Comment: This is a very solid rules expansion; some of the 'mech rules are a bit munchy for my taste, but the infantry section is pure gold.

Product: Technical Readout: 3057 (DropShips, JumpShips & WarShips)
Rating: 5.00
Comment: Simply put, the only resource you need for Dropships, Jumpships, and Warships. If you plan on doing any Battlespace at all this book is a must-have.

Comment: Don't believe Motown, there's no clan vehicles in this book, only some Inner Sphere ones. Overall, this is a fine piece of work, although most of the 'mech's look really ugly. Oddly enough, there's a few really nice level one designs in here.

Product: Technical Readout: 3026 (Revised)

Comment: This book is pretty much indespensable if you plan on using conventional forces at all. There's some fine designs in here.

Product: Field Manual: Federated Suns
Rating: 1.00
Comment: I was disappointed by this book. The quality of the material is really slipshod, and the unit descriptions are more focused on the Katherine/Victor split than they are on telling you about the often long and glorious history of the units. This book is also the introduction of the RAC, about the most unbalancing item in the game since the TC/Pulse Laser combo, and none of the other new tech is really all that cool.

Product: Chaos March
Rating: 5.00
Comment: I give this book ***** advisedly, having used it for countless campaigns. It is, simply put, the best campaign sourcebook FASA ever developed. Part Mad Max and part Vietnam, the Chaos March offers endless possibilities.

Product: Technical Readout: 3025
Rating: 5.00
Comment: A must have for any Mechwarrior. Do not, I repeat, do not, waste your money on the revised 3025 TRO. This one is still available at a reasonable price on Ebay. Also, it includes all of the unseens.

Comment: The original source for Warships; I personally always thought FASA made a mistake when they redesigned the Warship graphics for Battlespace; these designs look a lot cooler. Except for the rare Star League era campaign, most of the 'mechs and vehicles here will only appear with Comstar or Word of Blake.

Product: Technical Readout: Project Phoenix
Rating: 0.50
Comment: A cheap publicity stunt; with only one or two exceptions these "reseen" 'mechs are absolutely hideous.

Product: Intelligence Operations Handbook
Rating: 2.50
Comment: The Intelligence Operations Handbook is an excellent resource for anybody interested in the roleplaying side of the mechwarrior universe; it is also one of the cheaper and more readily available out of print books detailing the political and military history of the Inner Sphere. Game wise, there is virtually nothing directly relevant to table-top Battletech, but this book is a bit stronger vis a vis mechwarrior.
