I just picked up a deck today from a garage sale.
I'm going through it now, but from what was supposed to have been a single deck - as in, one you buy already in a box - I'm noting:
*two "rare" cards (Elias Crichell and the Man-O-War A)
*several "uncommon" cards (such as the Arrow IV)
*three different designs for the Support: Logistics card (wheeled caravan vehicles, a starport, and dropships in space)
*three different designs for Support: Assembly (a Mauler under construction, a Catapult under construction, and a worker in a gantry system)
*three different designs for Support: Munitions (lab workers, a missile range, and workers mounting gear onto a mech)
How actually common is it to run into such an assortment? The TCG guide on the main page suggests that they're all from the same series (either Command or Limited / Unlimited), but beyond that I'm not sure.

Thats a correct mix. Preconstructed decks always have the same rares, whereas random core set decks will have 2 random rares, I think 5 uncommons. As for the multi-image resource cards... its standard practice by WotC. In Magic they have 4 images for each Land card for each set.
