I have heard of a man that has no stomach. He tried to commit suicide by drinking industrial cleaners, which burned away his esophagus and his stomach. Doctors has to link what was left of his esophagus to his intestines.

that can't be possible...you wouldn't digest any of your food and you'd get no nutritional value from it. He'd have to be hooked into an IV feeding him nutrients.

Well, he is alive and not on IVs. IIRC, the stomach breaks down food and pulls out some nutrients, but the intestines work to pull out water and what ever is left of the nutrients. He obviously has to be careful what he eats, because without the stomach food goes into the intestines solid.

Where I come from, every organ is important, that's why I've got it in the first place. Although it is 3063, perhaps they could clone me a new one?
