I was trained in the Special Forces as a scout before I got to my position, and I'll take speed over absolute comfort. You want to switch places? Cool with me. 'Mechs draw more fire anyhow...
Post Script: BTW Vagabond, do those creations of yours have names? I'm entering them into my archived files and I wanted to know if I should call them something other than Vagabond's APC 1 and 2. 
Post Post Script: Also, Vagabond APC 1 has 3.5 tons of unused space and V/APC 2 has 2.5 tons of unused space. Unless I entered it very wrong... Wait, my mistake. *editing some more*

Granted they are a tad expensive. But he never said he cared about cost. 
And the non-xl variant is only around 1 mil. As upposed to the 3.1m for the xl. And if you want things cheaper, you can always go for the Wheeled variant as well, which I think cuts down the price a bit. Personally, I like tracks since you can at least go into light woods with them and you'll tend to have somewhat better control than with wheels. The Wheeled variant actually adds another ton of armor to it as well.
And when dealing with standard tank rules, you're better off being fast with some armor than slow and alot of armor
