Well, let me just say that when someone gives you a March release date, and they have it in stores in April, that is NOT a very bad thing. Release dates are only given to make you people happy and to give you an "idea" when the book will be out. In my opinion, if you can keep to within 3 months of that date, you've done good. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

No I didn't ask, was point out how we are promised early March, then get told nope delayed for GAMA, and now it's April, so now (here I am asking) should we expect by May?

Hold on a sec here.
The TRO wasn't delayed FOR GAMA. It was delayed due to a mechanical failure at the print shop.
Anyone who told you that we held it up for GAMA is plain wrong. The printers actually Hand Carried 6 rush copies down for us to show the retailers, who were doing cartwheels over it.
As far as the ship date, It ships first week of April.

Then you need to sit down with the others and make sure ALL of the "spoke persons" and such are on the same sheet, because it was told on at least two boards, that the delay was so it could be shown at GAMA to kill off the naysayers and show the retailers the game is still alive...so forgive us for actually reading the post put out by the folks who have ties to the game and taking them at their word.
The following is taken from BattleChat: (Note all of this before reported delay and new relase date of the 15th of March)

Well, the last month has been a great thirty days or so. To begin with, the first 'new' product from FanPro-Classic BattleTech Technical Readout: 3067-is actually at the printers! Should just slide under the line for a 'winter' release. More importantly, it will make it to GAMA (Game Manufacturing Association) convention, which will allow FanPro to show it around to distributors and retailers. Along with a GAMA specific catalog of future CBT products, that should go along ways to convincing both distributors and retailers that CBT is very much alive and kicking;"
Then we get told the 15th of March is the relase date, but no wait it's delay...so I think you can see the confusion and all that is coming from this...

Well,
Be confused no more!
"Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free."
I mean, think about the logic behind that. We deliberatly delay a products release so that we can show the naysayers and retailers that it will soon be released?
If anything, we pushed harder to ensure that thr TRO 3067 was ready in time to show at GAMA.

To most MEETING THE GIVEN DATE for it's relase would be MORE important then meeting a show date...but that's my opinion, to me if you say March then it comes out in March...not April 1st...

Karagin, where in that statement does he say that it was held off so it could be shown at GAMA? He stated that it should be ready to be shown there, but never said that was the cause of it being held up. I think you are trying to read into things.
Stop complaining about when the book is being released. You're either going to buy it, or you're not. No one else seems to be bothered. Or are you just doing this to try and start some kind of tussle at my establishment? I haven't had a broken table, window or even glass in this place in months, so stop it! _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

Just pointing out that we have heard this all before from FASA, they tell us a book or game is due out in say May, (as an example) then we find out it's delayed at the printer, then it's the following month, etc...
Now here is the Kicker, if the book is ready BEFORE GAMA, then why not release it? That is what I am asking why wait?

OK,
I'm going to speak really slowly here.
The TRO 3067 was not ready before GAMA. There was a mechanical failure at the print shop that put them behind schedule. Because it was important to have the TRO at the GAMA show, the printers were able to produce six (6) copies for us to have at the show. The owners of the print shop actually hand carried these from Chicago to Las Vegas because they knew how important it was.

And on that note we'll end this topic.
Thanks for clearing up any misconceptions Clutch.
