I wonder why did they pick the light cockpit and put in two tons of LAC/2 ammo. Maybe for precision rounds?

I don't think that AP makes much sense on AC/2s and I also think that one ton of precision is enough, although this could easily handle one more DHS, four LPPCs and actuator enhancements for more firepower.
