4 gauss rifles with 4 shots each and no backup, no speed and somewhat adequate armour. Not even Null-signature system can save it.

Agreed, though this is where the overview comes into play. Apparantly it was never intended to be used in stand-up fights, but rather ambush missions.

Well, except that once again... two tanks could do that just as well, if not better.

If you have the means to obtain a Battlemech and modify it this much, then you have the means to equip a tank lance. maybe even a company if you are not going after high tech Very Happy
