Joe stands outside Mordel's Bar and Grill, looking at the sign. "I don't remember this place. Might be worth a look." Glances over. "No weapons?" Takes a heavy magnum revolver from his holster. "Fine and dandy but what do I do with it?"
After looking around, he hides the gun in the cleanest trash can he can find. Then decides it's still a biohazard and makes a note to buy a new gun.
He then walks through the door with a cheeful wave. "Hello! My name's Joe." His curly brown hair and disgustingly cheerful deamanor are instantly at odds with his Federated Suns Mechwarrior uniform and empty holster.
OOC: I am nothing if not a study in contrasts. ^_^ Pleasure to meet you all.

*a retired mechwarrior rolls up on a pair of rollerblades and wearing a referee's jersy who's sleaves do nothing to cover the artifical right arm that starts just above the elbow. his left hand is also augmented with bionic impants and a metal plate covers from his left jaw to his hair line. in his hands he holds a strang little contraption that he seems semi-busy tinkering on. he looks up making eye contact.*
greetings and welcome to mordels bar n grill..... i'm Vagabond, and i keep order here for mordel. that theres lurch, our local oversized elemental and bouncer... just follow the rules and you, me, an him will get along great.
the holo-vid screens are over there, don't sit in any of the marked chairs or booths, and be well mannered to the waitress. chihawk serves the drinks and mordel runs the place....
thats about it, enjoy your time here.
*turns to roll off but stops*
oh ya..... the kitchen is off limits, dont ask why just accept it.
*as the sound of high compressed air is heard as Vagabond waves the contraption towards the kitchen area. a marshmellow flies at high speed towards the food service window, disappering into the kitchen followed shortly by the sound of curses and pots being thrown*
oops.... still to much air pressure.
*rolls off towards the restrooms*

The new arrival feels an odd presence come over him. He feels like he is being watched by something very strange. He looks around the room and see's a man dressed in a shor sleeve shirt and black pants. A series of blue and green tattoos are covering his exposed skin, and every few seconds they seem to glow. Attached to the back of his neck is a strange sort of looking piece of equipment. He studies the figure a bit more and notices the Ghost Bear insignia on the shirt and an odd symbol accompanying it.
The scary part is he know's he is being watched by this man, even thogh his eyes are staring into cold space.
Vagabond notices the interest the newcomer has taken to to this man and says "Yeah, thats Talen. Used to be a Ghost Bear, still thinks he is. Got wired for EI last week...hasnt been the same yet. Somehow he pacthed into Mordel's surveilence system and uses the security cams, and what not to be a part of this place. Kinda creepy...you'll get used to it though." A light flashed on Vagabond's pad.
"Ah, it looks like Talen has bought you a drink. Go to Chihawk to claim it."

Welcome to the B&G. Try you best to ignore the old timers as most of them are little strange, they still think it is the year 3028.
BTW Vagabond was not kidding about the kitchen, stay out.

Joe throws a casual salute to Talen. "Thank you." Then he wanders about for a moment, looking for Chihawk, before turning back to Vagabond.
"If I might be so bold, Vagabond, I think you ought to be careful with that. You're already running out of original parts it seems. At the very least, you may want to check your next order. General Harewood always told me, `Be nice to people who handle your food.`"

*Phoenix, who is sitting in his usual corner seat, pulls a remote control out of his duffel bag. He presses a button on the side and plugs a small "viewing glass" into the remote. The viewing glass is nothing more then an elastic band that fits around his head, a control box on the side (where the plug is connected), and a small flat LCD display that is over his right eye. On the screen is a pick of the outside of the bar. As Phoenix moves the controls, the image moves. It continues, as Phoenix moves it towards the front door.*
*At this time an RC Hetzer wheeled assault vehicle drives in. It is about two foot long and moves slowly through the bar. It drives up to the newbie and raises its gun. The newbie backs off and nearly jumps out of his skin when the barrel flashes. The end result is a bright flash and a puff of smoke. Phoenix drives the RC away from the newbie and towards himself. As everyone looks at him, Phoenix just smiles.*
OOC: Just ignore that. It was nothing more then my idea of a standard greeting. I am the insane one on this board.

The scruffy looking Mechwarrior in the dark corner raises his head off the table just enough to see the newcomer. He runs his fingers through his hair and decides it's almost time for a haircut. He then wonders to himself why he can never finish off a thought before being distracted... he rises for a drink.
Alexander sloshes his way to the bar, and lays the contents of his pockets on the bar. He sorts through scraps of paper containing numbers, which he hopes are from women, bits of pocket lint, and some coins. he pushes the coins to chihawk, as he places his belonings back into his pocket. Chihawk sighs and pours him another drink made from the drip tray underneath the taps on the kegs. Alexander grabs his drink and stumbles over to the newcomer.
"They got these chewy pretzels things here.. ugh, five dollars! Get outta here!" he slurs before stumbling back over to his table. He's decided to cut down on the beer in preparation for a new mission, but, then decides to cut down on the mission in preparation for a new beer.

Raven screams as the new comer comes in "HE'S COVERED IN PURPLE SPIDERS WITH THE HEAD OF CHRISTINA AGLEIARO (sp?)!!!" Then he runs out waving his arms wildly and trips over a trashcan, spilling its still live contents all over the steet. "Hey who left a nice gun in such an ugly can as this?" Raven shrugs and wanders away, completely unaware of his previous actions.
