Not entirely sure whats going on, Stinger stands up walks to the bar and hands Chihawk the money for bill and then a 5spot extra. He then requsitions his side arm from "Lurch" and hurries twards the Mech hanger. Calling his head tech on the cell phone he tells him "Get the "Flying circus" warmed up. somethings going on."

dead-fish quickly ducks out the kitchen back doors and runs to his battle master.
"SBIASBL command over?"

"yhea, send the 2 laser cannon prototypes and a heavy security detachment to the bar asap. its time for a field test"
"orders confirmed eta 36 minutes"
Dead-fish then powers up the bbq master and readies himself for whatever the forbidden word conjures up.

Always wanted to give this thing a proper break-in run.

Arrives at the hanger as the techs have finished reloading the Gauss bins.
"Shes ready to go Stinger" my head tech said.
"Thanks Mac. Get your crew to a safe spot. And take the comm unit with you." I replied, "Mordels sure cleared out in a hurry though."
"Any Idea whats going on?" He asked.
"Not a Clue Mac, not a clue."
I strapped into the Command couch of my Devestator and brought all weapon systems online. Then I patched into the Satelite communication system. "Well hun,time for your first trial run." I hope the money I spent upgradeing her was worth it.
Now to see whats going on......

More static. "This is Harvester One (General Harewood), I've formed up what we can scrape together of my RCT to guard the SBIASBL prototype cannons. I'll be sending out Gannets to spot for artillery as soon as the cannons are in place. Fox Actual (The Major) is jury-rigging his radio and gathering intel on what he can. Right now, it seems to be an odd number of...you're kidding me right? No? And odd number of "m-word" 'Mechs. All appear clantech. I suggest you warm up the static defenses, they'll be here shortly."

"Copy Harvester 1, Give me a ETA and Ill be in position in 2 minutes." Switches channels. "Knights Castle, this is Knight 1 you copy?"
"Kights Castle copys, go Knight 1" Replies The Knights of Chaos drop shop.
"Tell the Knights there needed 5 mins ago. Hostiles inbound, unknown numbers aproching from the southwest. Tell them to patch in to channel zeta when they get rolling. This is not a drill, repeat, this is not a drill" I stated.
"Copy Knight 1 there assembling now".
"Harvester whats the ETA and do you have numbers yet?" I asked.

"Knight One, Harvester One, this is Fox Actual on recon. Not counting the machine I was forced to destroy, the "M"s seem to have about 4 trinaries of Howlers, Babboons and Crimson Langurs. The don't seem organized, but their machines are fast and an inward run could be very costly. ETA is a about 30 seonds when they mobilize."
"Harvetser One copies that Fox Actual, the Royal Roses report an unknown number of "M" infantry in the jungles to the south. SBIASBL Inc, my armror and infantry will cover the cannons. My command company is moving to cover the east, we can't stop'em but we can trade ground for time. The 58th New Avalon Support is clearing out the civvies in case things get nasty."
Suddenly several artillery rounds screech overhead and slam into the B&G with a sickening plop. The brown squishy, warm material left no doubt as to the Simian Gran Strategy...chemical warfare!

Raven and Francis sit in their assaults as the Simian horde of infantry poor in at them. Raven lets loose with PPC blasts and lasers which tears them up as they come running up "Sniper Alley" as Raven begins to call it. As they get closer Francis fires flights of LRMs into their ranks, tearing them apart. They fall back again and again. Each time they get closer though, and raven falls back to his machine guns, retreating a little bit by little bit, even as monkey poo lands all over his mech's legs.
Suddenly a burst of Autocannon fire rips into the front ranks and a rain of SRM shells bursts among the monkies, sending torn and burning monkey limbs everywhere. Raven's Command Lance showed up to take the line, the Companies forming up to their left and right. "OK Roses, listen up!" Raven begins. "We fall back, anything with Machine guns, autocannons or missiles to the front. Stager back keeping to cover and protecting your buddy. Black Roses report that they are in the tunnels. So avoid those where possible, and GET VAGABOND BACK ON THE LINE. Thorn company, prepare to act as backup. We have a lot of units out on the field people, so keep sharp. Over." Raven logs off and falls back with his unit, as Francis Marion turns to find Vagabond and what happened to him.

A few minutes of panic reigned until General Harewood took charge. "Shut up! Okay apes in the tunnels. Cavalier battle squads, take charge of exterminating them and collapse the tunnels as a last resort. Fox Actual, you mission is finished. Form up with Chaos Unit." From the cockpit of her BattleMaster, Marie keyed into her artillery's freqeuncy. "What've you got, Misfire One?"
"Only a couple of Thumpers we found nearby plus our Long Tom. You want counter battery fire?"
"Immediatly. And get the Dropships on the ball, I want them on station! See if you got enough operational stuff to get some fighters up, convetional, aerospace, I don't care!"
