Less then 200 points per side...low threshold on top of that means if it runs into even a small warship it's toast.

Any custom Frigate or Destroyer is going to eat this thing for a snack. And even some of the book warships will be able to do the same.

I understand that...but it's not always going to have JUST fighters coming at it. And with it's armor as it is most warships will punch through with two good hits.

Not to mention that the fighters will eventually hurt the ship as well.

That thing is maxed out on armor, man. Book warships? last time I looked, it was not even designed to be used alone, like the fluff for Lancer Frigate from Star Wars Ships Book indicate, it operate with other ships. You already can see that most SL era and many Clan WarShips lack sufficent standard weapons to defend against Fighters. This monitor (I am hoping to rename it soon) is clearly labeled "Fire Support", it is designed purely as an AA picket ship nothing more. Sure enemy WarShips will try to take it out but what does prevent the WarShips it is escorting from getting in shots at those warships when they are focused on the monitor? It is fast enough to stay ahead most of the book WarShips. There are enough bays of weapons in an arc to inflict crits hit on fighters, it can track a high number of fighter especailly at side angle to the monitor (Fore-Sides, Aft-Sides, and Broadside overlap each other starting at 3-4 hexes from a craft all the way to end of the range).

It has a mission...great...but given that mission, the other side will actively seek the ship out and try to destroy it. Even working together the ship lacks anything to stike back at the bigger ships who will be gunning for it, just as they are any other vessel that is not on their side.

So you maxed the armor out, that still doesn't change the fact that if it is hit by any NAVAL weapon bay it has a good chance of being hurt badly.

Also most ships rely on their fighters to deal with enemy fighters. While having a dicated AAA platform is nice, one has to wonder if a dropship could not do the same job for less cost...

Good luck trying to get a dropship get all that loadout although you may have a bit easy time with more tonnages freed from the naval lasers. Just remember Spheriod DropShip has cost multipler of 28 (thats the cheapest part of the two dropship types Aero and Sphere) while the warship has the cost multipler of 2 and that applies to the Monitor. DropShip FCS limit is 12 weapons per arc while WarShip FCS limit is 20 weapons per arc. I checkted the engine table, DropShips has a larger percent of their mass devoted to engine. I checked the SI of my design to a 100 k DropShip with same mass and same SI, DropShip's SI is heavier. Again DropShip devote a larger percent of its mass to control component. DropShip get 3225 ferro-aluminum armor points (Standard Scale) while the Monitor get 672 lamellor Ferro-carbide armor points (Capital scale and thats 6720 in standard scale for you)

I look at your statement and I look at the AT2, I see no indication that DropShip have better survivability, in fact its the other way around where the Monitor is actualy the better one. Oh I would like to point out that I made an error and that is the DropShip whose SI is 240 can support 864 tons of armor, about 5,806 ferro-aluminum armor points standard scale. This actually show that Monitor is a better space combat craft, but that it will never equal the abilities of the DropShips, one of which is to carry their internal contents and operate within a planet's atmosphere.
