Karagin, the Monitor for the last time is a WarShip so its armor is listed in Capital Scale. That mean the DropShips still have weaker armor protections. Look, you want armor comparision with your DropShips? MULTIPLY the armor points the Monitor has by 10 and you have an EQUAL comparision.

I know it's capital scale...but it is on the low end of that and with it's LOW THRESHOLD NUMBER means it will be hurt evertime it is hit.
The Standard weapons do group damage so any ship above a fighter or shuttle will hurt your monitor with one round of firing. Check your thershold numbers.
Yes the FCS is higher...I packed in a lot of weapons on the first one and the second one is not as high and has less but still equal over all in firepower to yours.
Now I am going to work on the cheaper vessel that tries to come in at the 100K mark.

Karagin, you thickskull. If you attack a capital armor with standard weapons, you DIVIDE the damage by 10, if you attack a standard armor with capital weapons, you MULTIPLY the damage by 10.
The thresold is here, Capital (Standard)
Fore: 15(154)
Fore Left / Right: 14(142) / 14(142)
Aft Left / Right: 12(126) / 12(126)
Aft: 12(126)
Your dropships are actualy more vunerable to the crits hits than the Monitor becuase of their weaker armor protection. Yes the Monitor will get crit hits from naval crafts bigger than small crafts, but FIND any thing better armored than that ship at 100k, move 5/8.

Your Mk2 is very vulnerable to Fighters, because they will have an easy time inflicting critical hits. Mk1 however does not have this as very few fighters are capable of inflicting even 100 damage points or more. Karagin. . . FIND anything at 100k or less that move 5/8 and have more armor protection than the Fire Support Monitor.

The monitor is a target that will be engaged by warships at range...since it has to more to the fighters or as they come to it, the warships will still actively support their fighters if they can...
Even with it's capital armor, if the thershold number is surpassed you get a chance for a crital hit...doesn't matter what weapon class punches through that number.

Karagin, against you are assuming that they will attack the Monitors first that will be traveling close to their companion WarShips and battle Monitors. Then there is the thing of the other side's ASFs.

I find that the Clan has better armor, I already made a Clan version of Fire Support Monitor with more armor.

As the battle begins and the ship move around the biggest threats will be dealt with first...and as things change and calls for help get routed to where they are needed then ships like your monitor or what not will become prime targets.
But then there is the fog of battle where your ship may come with in range of a frigate or cruiser and get's fired on because it's the closer target...
As I said above and it seems you are saying now that in a major fleet engagement these kinds of ships have more use...on a single raid into a system that has any kind of warship or active gunship style dropships the monitor is in trouble...

Karagin, tell me which one that frigrate or cruiser want to fire on, the WarShip that has it in the sight or the FS monitor whose weapons does not reach well far to be even a threat and is not moving to attack the Frigrate/Cruiser? By firing on it, you allow one of the opposing WarShips a chance to get in shots at that firer.
