This is just a little reminder (rubbing in) that the Canadian Women's Hockey team just won the Gold Medal at the Olympics!

Big deal. If I want to see no-check hockey I'll go watch a C-league game at one of my local rinks.
Women's hockey is BORING. US or Canada--one of those two teams will win, guaranteed. ALWAYS. There's no real competition, there's no checking, there's nothing at all to hold my interest or anyone else's interest.
Give me a call when 1) the Chinese and Finns have their acts together (and can provide some real competition) and 2) the IIHF actually allows checking in the women's game.

True. But, I'm really waiting for the Men's game tomorrow. Now that Canada stomped on Belarus (as if there was a doubt,) and the US takes Russia (they were ahead last I checked), we've got a really good game in the making. And, a few words of caution... Don't make Lindros mad, I don't think he can take another concussion!

I wouldn't say that. They are actually healthy and not fashionably starved like half the figureskaters and gymnasts out there. Beside Hockey is a sport for the NFL linebacker types, what did you expect?
