Modified Grey Death Scout BA
Men per point: 7
MP: 3 ground
Armor: 4 pts
weapon: Infantry MG- 1 dam total 1-4 troops, 2 dam total 5-7.
Spec: Anti-mech
Designed around the GD Scout BA, this variant is built with a buyer in mind. Designed using slightly above average technology of the periphery states, meaning there easier to repair and maintain. A must for any periphery nation looking to field the own BA.
Almost all of the componets can be found or quickly manufactured in any periphery state, which caused problems in several fields much as movement and sensor systems. do to weight and power constraints both the jump jets and sensor moduals were removed.
this reduction in weight allowed the addition of non-specilized alloy armors to be used, incxreasing overall weight but not decreasing overall protection. these armor componets can be found all over the periphery.
last in the design is the offensive weaponry. chosen was the tried and true Infantry support machine gun, which is both effective and inexpensive. in most fashions the BA is like that of Motorized infantry platoon, without the risk to overall manpower.
cost: 300,000 per suit

I think a new name would benifit this armor. (Don't want to be sued for licensing fraud by the GDL!  ) But it is a good design for the periphery. I have one I think I'll post sometime.

Personally, although it looks good, I think I'd wait for the BA Construction rules to come out with the BattleTech Companion when it's released in a few months...
