You have to roll on the missile chart, but any that hit, hit the targetted location. I used this to great effect once with a JMF-7 JagerMech. It so lovely to chew the legs off enemy machines.

RAC/2 would be a vicious mod to the Clan Kraken...that has 10 AC/2, if my dusty old brain is functioning correctly. (although, a RAC Kraken would probably need to pick up some more ammo)

My Kraken is the J2 Jade Falcon vesion. 8 Clan LRM15's. You should see the shakin' that starts when IT comes along....
Wouldn't the heat restrict the fire rate on the weapon or would the Ammo be the limiting feature???
Missle Table????

Ammo is the main concern of RAC/5s. RAC/2s suffer low heat, no ammo problems, but are prone to jam at bad times like the RAC/5.

As has been stated: Massive Firepower for minimal weight. And decent range too.

I would also say variablity. If the situation is critical you can hold the trigger down and let the rounds fly, if not you can conserve the ammo. One of the biggest is that option to un-jam unlike the Ultra AC.

They get even better in AT2. There they function like AC/20's with less weight and longer range - and never jam. Sometimes it's fun to drop a few details out of a system...
