This is a hypothetical question--there are no plans to do this.
In fact the contrary is true--based on what's been said on other boards they won't be doing this

There can be only one Locust. Plus that has been tried before, it was called IIC.

I thought the redrawn ones used for the Japanese BattleTech were very cool. If they were cast by say Iron Winds I would definately buy them. Those old designs are way too cool to ever fade away, which is what could happen with new players coming into the game and unable to afford the highly expensive unseen minis.

ALong the same vein, What did you all think of the IIC mechs? Most were of the unseen 14 but they had others.
I will be truthful, only the Jenner and Hunchback IICs looked good. I bought the Warhammer and Phawk and some oterhs hoping to use them as variants of the orginal. One big problem was the scale was out of whack. Also some had a bad anime look (like the TRO they came from) and others were to bulky. TO bad that would havebeen a way around the problem.
Probably Ral Partha was treading thin ground and had to make enough serious changes to get it to pass.
AWAD- Made 2 IS verions of the Hunckback IIC, kind of like them.

I didn't care much for any of the IIC mech's, especially the P-Hawk. Who ever heard of an 80ton P-Hawk. Hideous....

I would rather have redrawn Unseens than no Unseens.
I don't care what WhizKids and FanPro's mouthpieces say, 'mechs like the Warhammer, Marauder, and Locust were the heart of the game.

Why not? What specifically is your issue with it?

I think only the Jenner IIC and the Highlander IIC looked better than their Inner Sphere counterparts...that's why I have two Jenner IIC's right now (one with the arms replaced with the MPL arms from a Men Shen), and did up some versions of the Highlander to match the IIC mini...
I also somewhat like the Locust IIC, but not as a Locust...I added the LLs off one of my Barghests under its chin, and made a new Inner Sphere 'Mech for it...In the same vein, my one Huncback IIC (traded off the other), was altered to make another type of Inner Sphere 'Mech...
Oh, and the Dragon IIC...er, Great Wyrm, that is...makes a great Light Kurita 'Mech...
The UrbanMech IIC also makes a great AC-20 varient Urbie...to go with my other two standard Urbies...

I generally liked the IICs, esp. the 3060 ones. But I have never liked the P-Hawk, Griffin, Locust, and Shadowhawk IICs. The Locust has legs that look like bird bones without any flesh or skin, so where do the myomers that make the legs move or the 10 points of armor fit onto that? The other three all had their tonnage changed for no good reason. They could have given us a way cool P-Hawk at 45 tons and we would have loved it. Intead we get an 80 ton ugly thing.
And from the moment I saw the Griffen and Shadowhawk in the TRO 3055 posing like a couple of freaking ballarinas I did not like them no matter what their capabilities.
The Marauder IIC could have looked a lot better than that (and easier to glue together and have it stay glued together).
And I think the best of the 3055 lot is the Warhammer IIC. It was larger, but still resembled its forbear and had the same weapons mix. Painted well too. _________________ "Those who beat their guns into plows will plow for those with guns..." -Thomas Jefferson

I stay out of the mini realm.
1) Expensive, and or a college student that is tough.
2) Being a college student and moving is hard on the ol'minis
A TRO of redrawn unseens I would consider and probably grab. Minis, no, for the above reasons.
As far as the IIC machines go the Warhammer IIC out of 3055 would have been the best, only problem I have is the weight increase. Out of 3060 I like the Guillotine IIC, with the Highlander IIC running a close second.
