That's a great book!! Back when I used to play MW2:RPG I ended up dumping the entire battle system in favor of that from the Compendium. BTW, it's a Palladium book and it is still around (at least in the Sac area).

This compendium....find it at my hobbie shop, my barnes and noble, or what? Is it a book or an add-on to a game?

RPG shops. If I recall, it's made by Palladium, who did Robotech, and others. It's about $25 or so.

It's called the Compendium of Contemporary Weaponry, or something close to that. It contains a battle system for infantry level engagements and conversions for all kinds of guns for said system. The guns include all kinds of pistols, smg's, mg's, rifles, and shotguns. There are even grenade launchers, recoilless rifles, tear gas, and miniguns.
Although it's not futuristic I found it a great improvement over most RPG battle systems.
