standardization sounds like a good idea but i will keep my .5 and shotguns as i believe i have enough ammo. in the tight confines of the tunnel the shoguns would be effective
*goes to vagabond and gives in Zeus rifle and scope as insurance and fills in required forms*
hey vagabond how much ammo will we be issued with?

The SMGs are whatever caliber Sir Henry aquired, which is .45 i believe same as the pistols. As for ammo, Sir Henry aquired more then enough supply for everyone to take to there hearts content. I have duct tape here for those of you who would like to tape two clips together that is what i am doing.
AS for the LMG, you can bring it if you want. Seems like a waist of an antique and senseless in tunels.
Now after everyone has filled out these forms and aquired there weapons get some shut eye. I'll order some pizza and pasta in the mean time.

I'm still not sure about the antique machine gun, but I suppose it might come in handy.
I'll stick with the single clips; taping them together makes it easy too knock the magazine. If the magazine's crooked, then you have a jammed gun. Also why I'm sticking with the pistol, although I'll take the SMG just in case.
Wake me when the pizza arrives.

*Sobers up. Proceeds to the table which looks like a gunrunners haul. Picks up SMG + 3 clips and fills out the paper work.*
I think i will be over there for another 40 winks.
*slings SMG over his body and closes eyes*

| Hmmmm....Good point. But, this babby has been used before and recently. My C-96a-3 i will keep .Also the Mg is exactly a Mauser weapon.Austrains took it after the Fall of berlin and modified it to become the MG-1954. which was modified over the years and eventualy it became the MG-92. Steyr Machine Gun-2992.THis is that model. It design specs are almost identical to the Mauser made version, though.*Goes over to corner and passes out.*

The human body may be able to last 4 days without water., but not in combat or heavy operational conditions. You dehydrate faster when you work (Yes, it's true.) Therefore, you will become combat ineffective in a few hours without water, especially in high heat., (I've seen it happen in the field, and it's not pretty. You get blinding headaches, severe muscle cramps, then you start to hallucinate, and then you're done.)
Carry all the weight you want, it just shows me you haven't the slightest field experience. And, don't bother giving me any posts explaining the anatomy of a weapon that I don't give a crap about, because it doesn't matter. You get into a combat situation and you can only shoot one weapon at a time... and I don't want to have to put it together first. It's all about having your finger on the trigger (safety on of course), and being ready to shoot at the center of visible mass of anything you want to die.

Saberdance points to his head without looking up. "This is my safety."
Looks at panzermunchie and shrugs his shoulder. "Your funeral. 30 credits says he dies before he gets the machinegun assembled."
Looks at vagabond. "I've heard about carb loading before a track meet, but wouldn't something more substantial be appropriate for combat? I mean, once the carb high wears off, aren't we all going to crash out?"
edit addition: lest our esteemed combat veterans think less of me, the safety crack was a joke. A joke. As is good firearms safety, I don't take the safety off until I am ready to fire. Now, in this case, that might be right before I go down the hole if I'm first in the line.

(OOC: Just a point of information by the 31st century the ancient inch foot system of measurement would have been long forgotten so there would be no such thing as a .45 cal. it would be an 11.4mm)
Looks over at the Hakim
"This is a replica by the way an original is far too rare ..the recoil suppression system is awesome in this design ...even now. I still might pack it just in case I need something hard hitting."

ooc: I refer to my earlier post, read generously, as I don't know what the 31st Century conversions are. I am, however, going to be moderately freaked out by the fact that you had that fact just lieing around the house somewhere to drop at this party. _________________ "Politics is the Art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, misdiagnosing the problem, and applying the wrong solution."

My 1911 is also a replica. If I had a real one, I'd sell it to a collector and leave you all to go in the hole yourselves. I sure wouldn't be shooting it.
The idea of assembling your machine gun on the fly, under fire, and in a small tunnel, strikes me as a good way to get killed.
Now then, time for a slice of pepperoni!
OOC: Maybe, Motown. But I'm certainly not going to run around calling a gun an 11.4. It has no meaning. Metric is only useful for things measured in centimeters and down, or kilometers and up. I don't see a metric inch anywhere. And kilometers are only useful in character; I'll prolly end up saying miles anyway. The diameter of rounds in millimeters and, especially, the height of people in centimeters, just bounces off of me. If I can't get some picture of it, I'm most certainly not going to say it.
[/spontaneous rant]
