Hello everyone. I'm now a proud Papa! Jonathan Thomas Mahaney: born Sat April 13, 6lbs 12oz, healthy as can be. Mom's doing great. And as some of you promised me I'm getting very little sleep.  Love every minute of it though, he is such a joy! I'm already imagining him rolling the 2D6!

A baby is one of the happiness times in my life. So I can relate. Those 3 o'clock morning feedings at not has bad when you are holding him in your arms.

I preume that they meant they got up every 90 minutes and crapped in their pants

congrats! If you're lucky you're baby will be like me and utter no sounds till he's three  I DID sleep like a baby. Usually ten hours or more a night!

Not that lucky Raven! He already screams like a Banshee, and usually in the middle of the night. Thank goodness all these late night cons I've been to have prepared me for the sleep deprivation.

If you haven;t started on a bedtime routine, I'd suggest starting one soon. Try a bath around 8 to 830 pm and story by 930pm, and bed at 10 pm. By the time he is 3 months old, he 'should' sleep through the night. I have have 4 and both on my youngest boys are in bed by 10pm (unless they are sick).
CONGRATS!! Enjoy the time he's small and can't crawl. When he starts crawling, you've lost the battle for being bigger. 'Cause they can crawl fast and get under tables you can't.
BTW, If you haven't heard this, here it is. You'll spend the first 2 years teaching them to walk and talk, and the rest of your life trying to make them shut up and sit down.
