What Civilians are you talking about. I said nothing about them. I said using Artilery against Mechs only.

Check again...he said that it could not beused in conjunction with the C3 system, then as you posted he says it can...so I guess it's up to the players TO use it how they see fit...

I fear that you are misunderstanding me Oh Wise and Worldy One, I follow your point about it being use against the mech or mechs, but seeing how battles are not always fought out in the open field with honor and fairness, the use of the artillery against the mechs would fall victim to crys of harsh actions when used against the mechs in a city or other populated area. Thus having some try to use the clause in the Ares Convention about bombarding a civilan area.

It is.
But now there's a link so there's no question to it's authenticity or accuracy.

And I just did a search of CBT and can't find any post involving the Precentor Martial which indicates that C3 and Target Computers can not be used together.
So as Ruger has posted what the Precentor Martial has to say on the subject (which I have provided a link to) I'm going to ask Karigan to post where it says they are not compatible.

And I will...just as soon as weed through all of the wannabe PMs, and their answers to TC/C3 questions...hell I will even ask Randal myself and then post the answer...just to keep all nice and friendly and avoid one of the wannabees from trying to play god. And that way we will have it from the actual person WHO should be answering the questions.

Karagin, Please don't read anything into the post. I said nothing about the time or place, just that it could be used.
Sir Henry, wondering if the Young Padawan has his glasses on....

I do need a new pair of glasses...but they are on...
I know what you said and yes I know there was no time or place, I was pointing that using the weapon you chose in game terms as far as history goes, is not something that is done.
So saying, All Mighty Ruler of the Universe, one can see were it came from...

I have searched ever post on CBT that the Precentor Martial has to say about the use of C3 and no where does it say that they can't be used in conjunction with each other.
What anyone else has to say about it is immaterial.
Mods have only been answering rules questions (and the ones being answered are not ones where an interpetation needs to be made, they just answer ones that are clearly written in the rulebook) for a few weeks so finding the info you're looking for (were it even relevant) should be easy.

I went back three months and 70% of the TC/C3 stuff was answered by the wannabe PMs...so finding things is not as easy as you say.
I PMed Randal about the C3 TC working together and as soon as he answers it I will post it fully here.

I looked at every C3 and target computer post made by the Precentor Martial, and as you said "C3 and Targ Can't work together or says Randal over at CBT" what others said wouldn't matter as your post indicates that Randal made that statement.

Are you listening to me? Once more, MOST IF NOT ALL of the questions dealing with C3 and Targ have been answered by the mods over there NOT Randal...I am going to go back 6 months and check...but as I said I sent the same question to Randal himself to avoid trying to get it answered on the boards since the policy at CBT is for the moderators to play Randal on rules questions, which defeats point of having a board set up to ask him questions.

I am pretty sure that you cannot use a targeting comp with C3. One of the rulebooks said something I think but ill double check on it.
