Nehi is a name-brand of soda. It's more of a generic-type soda, tho, and so is not often seen- I was surprised the day I found out that there was a store here in Cove that sells them. On the TV show MASH, the character Radar O'Reilly had, as a running gag, a preferrence for the Grape flavor as a result of Radar still being a 'kid' due to his characterization. (In fact, that's why the actor playing him left- he had outgrown, in a sense, his character.)
BTW, has anyone ever tried mixing cream soda with whole milk? It tastes like vanilla soda if done right.

Finally! Someone else who mixes Creme Soda w/ Milk! You da man! 2 parts creme soda to 1 part milk is a good mix for me.

Sometimes the local brands are actually worthwhile. Have you ever tried some of the local brands from up in the Wasatch area of Utah? They have killer cream soda up there.
And don't forget the Sweedish Fish.

I still have a decent-sized stash.
You know those little fruit wedge-shaped pieces of candy that some candy companies put out? (if not, the Cove Super Wal-Mart has them) They're the same texture, but are fish-shaped. Down here in this area, all you can expect, at best, is the smaller-size versions that only come in some type of red berry flavor. Up near Salt Lake City, however, they carry the big ones that are multi-flavored. (I still have a few of those large ones, but they're getting old.) The big ones are actually slightly softer than the small ones, tho.
