Description: THE FUTURE OF WARFARE!

The year is 3026 and war has ravaged the thousands of worlds of the Inner Sphere for centuries. Successor Lords send clashing armies to conquer their neighbors and re-establish the long-lost Star League. Though the BattleMech is the king of the battlefield, it is supported by a much vaster array of conventional vehicles that fight on premier border worlds to the back waters of beyond. When in the hands of an experienced field commander, even a BattleMech must be leery when facing a company of tanks.

This revised edition of the original Technical Readout: 3026 features the most common military vehicles of the Succession Wars. Additionally, this volume contains nineteen vehicles, aerospace fighters, DropShips and JumpShips mentioned in the fictional context of the BattleTech universe but never before presented in a technical readout.

Comment: I found this book to almost be as good as the original. I say 'almost' because with this new revised version they decided to remove some of the fluff information that was included with each of the units in the original printing, which was something I enjoyed reading. As well as all the personal equipment. I also found most of the 'new' designs included to be somewhat disappointing given that they have more to do with aerospace than they do with actual vehicles. Not to mention that it is also a good 10$ more than the original for the same number of pages which also more than the recent 3067 TRO which is almost twice its size. Even with what I find to be problems, it is still a very good source of unit information for those who are looking for such.

Comment: I have had this book from new and wouldn't part with it. All the vehicles are there that you would expect. A useful section on dropships and Aerofighters is included. This book is a must if you run campaigns using mixed equipment.

Comment: One of the most useful source books of them all. Some of these vehicles are really nasty, (Demolisher, Ontos). Each one with a good bit of background. The addition of the dropships and jumpships is also a plus.

Comment: This book is pretty much indespensable if you plan on using conventional forces at all. There's some fine designs in here.
