Overview:
    The Swiftfoot series was designed to be an extremely mobile scout mech.  The use of an XXL
    engine makes the Swiftfoot more vulnerable to critical hits but its designers intended for
    the great speed to prevent it from ever being hit.  It was first commissioned by the new
    head of AFFS High Command, following the FedCom Civil War.  It has seen some limited service
    on the periphery but its full potential is still unknown.

Capabilities:
    The Swiftfoot is known as one of the fastest mech designs ever built in the Inner Sphere
    reaching speeds comparable to the Clan Dasher.  The addition of four ER Medium Lasers gives
    the light mech something of a strong punch for its size.  The C3 unit and Beagle Active
    Probe give this mech great potential when used in a scouting capacity.

Deployment:
    The few Swiftfoots currently in active service are along the periphery of the Federated Suns
    and have seen some small engagements out there.  So far they have exceeded their designers
    hopes as an agile scout mech, designs are currently being formulated for another variant
    with jump.
