Overview:
    NRZ-1S Nerz, or mink as translated from German, has been projected as a CMW response to
    kuritan Jenner introduced by Diplan twelve years earlier. Nerz would have been heavier and
    yet more armoured and nimble, although at the cost of somewhat lighter armament. The 'Mech
    proposal was ultimately rejected by LCAF with state funds dedicated to the production of
    Zeus in greatest quantities possible. CMW intended to offer the Nerz to free market, but
    Richard Steiner personally banned the Nerz sales to foreign nations so the projected
    production line construction on Furillo hasn't started and whole project shelved as current
    production capacities were full anyway.

Capabilities:
    At 40 tons the Nerz barely slips over the medium 'Mech weight limit. It's specifically
    designed to withstand a PPC or repeated medium laser hits without exposing internal systems
    to outer atmosphere frontally anywhere where it would compromise armament or mobility,
    taking into account the most common foes it would encounter - the Jenner and the Panther.
    Arms were deemed useful, but ultimately expendable in this matter, so they could, just like
    the rear parts of torso, withstand only glancing hits by a stray SRM salvo. The armament
    would consist of a pair of Coventry Twintube SRMs and a pair of trusty B3M medium lasers
    supplied by Defiance. The heat dissipation capacity wouldn't be sufficient to handle the
    weapons and long jumps, but the pilot should be able tailor the weapon mix to any situation.
    The SRM launchers would have enough missiles to last through multiple engagements, but their
    main selling point would the sheer versatility, where the Nerz could adapt to mission
    profile with proper specialised missiles, be it smoke, fragmentation or dreaded infernos as
    the mission would demand.

Deployment:
    Talks about resurrection of the project have been going back and forth for years, but
    nothing has ever come of that.
