This was the novel that got me into Battletech in the first place. So you know I like it.
It is a little cheesy how the Thorns end up with a haul of Clan 'mechs at the end, but the build up to that is pretty darn good. And a nice (I think) illustration of how post-Clan mercenaries would operate. Not quite perfect, but good enough to get a twelve-year old to spend thirty dollars upon finding the box set. A good buy if you can find it. |
