This editor offers some great features but is not as n00b friendly as the drawing board.
I suggest using this if you can't get TDB or dont want to spend an extra few minutes downloading. |

The mechworks is basic yet slightly more difficult to work with than the drawing board or mech engineer. You just simply don't get enough choices to make building a mech a pleasure.
However, this is freeware, as such, it is competant as a mech editor. |

This is fantastic.
It covers most, if not all, of the coding flaws of the previous version and allows for a few more weapons options. Definitely a must have freeware software for someone who does not have the cash for HMP. |
