Twin jumping ER PPCs are fun and all, especially if wrapped in heavy armor like this. The C3 and the laser backup are also nice, although you can't get too trigger happy. Overall the D configuration is far superior to the C and can last really long too. A solid addition. |

This thing is a sniper with an endless supply of ammunition and as part of the C3 network it can stay accurate over some extreme distances, but that's where the positives end mostly. The light gauss guns don't do much and so this thing starts to suffer from somethig similar to the Jagermech as far as it's armaments go. The damage will add up over time, but if it gets rushed it must hope that someone else in the C3 network can at least use the targetting data because it's own contribution will be lackluster at best. |

This thing will be nasty if the environment allows it and very unhappy anywhere else. Fortunately it's an omni configuration and wouldn't be fielded if the terrain didn't match it's parameters. Primary configuration would send the LRMs over the wall, this thing just sends itself and should work nicely in that capacity. The potential for 48 damage is nothing to sneeze at for a standard engine heavy. |

Not bad, especially with MRM changes comming up in the new rules. The MRMs bring a lot of hurt and the omni-Archer has enough armor to at least try to bring them in range. It could use some mobility or targetting gimmick, but it's still fit for the job if properly covered. Watch the heat though as the arm-mounted lasers will feel tempting to add to the MRMs. |

A true primary configuration. This one is a classic archer with no frills added. A solid performer at range with a very reasonable price tag, if not exactly flashy. Compared to what can be seen on the battlefield of 3067 it will not impress, but it gets the job done and that counts for something. |

Okay, this thing is fast and durable. It's definitely capable of getting in the melee to... do what exactly? The sword is not particularly it is armed with an oversized letter opener and a pop-gun. Sure it's going to stay with you like a bad smell, but it's doing whopping ten damage in two five point groups (ooh and a crit if you roll high enough with AP ammo), or maybe twelve if it keeps the sword as a papaerweight. No TSM, no C3, nothing to make this thing special. What exactly was this supposed to do? Sink initiative? This thing could do so much more with the nine tons it devotes to it's weapons. It wasted ton of C-bills on XL engine, ultra-durable armor and Double heat sinks. Why there is not more pew pew? |

Let's face it - this thing is the Griffin. It sure has some things moved about to avoid it losing all systems to right torso destruction, but otherwise I can see it originating from that stock. It for sure is a solid machine that handles jumping and firing the main weapons well and has some solid backup. It doesn't have any quirks to set it apart design-wise and that's certainly not harming it in any way. A nice trooper to crack some armor plates during the Succession wars. |

Now this is more like my kind of upgrade. It keeps the original spirit of the machine and makes it better without having to sell your kidneys to get it. Fits nicely to the era when DC was just about to reach the advanced tech. |

Definitely one of the worse variants that could make sense in Alpha Strike, or Battleforce where you don't have to count your shots, but under standard rules it sucks as it either jumps, or fires. Doing both reduces the 'Mech to useless paperweight unless you have a really good pilot, but even then it's just fragile and lacking in backup weapons. I'd much prefer a Valkyrie to this under most circumstances. |

For a weapon that can cover 19th hex and three hexes of PPC minimum range the ER Large laser takes up a lot of space. If it was meant to do anything else then it's a poor competitor for the PPCs. Overall it seems even worse than the other variants. Since the rest of the chassis is pretty solid the weapons chosen jut make it in to a mediocre assault 'Mech. |
