Only a couple of things in this release, but one of them is large enough to warrant pushing the update out to everyone now as opposed to waiting. The below lists these changes in more detail:
Defects- Fixed an issue where admin users sometimes couldn't load a design even though it appeared in the Load Design search dialog. In certain circumstances, the user would receive an error message indicating the design did not exist.
Enhancements
- Added the ability to design Land-Air BattleMechs, this includes Bimodal as well as Standard configurations. This includes the ability to output all format types, most notable Record Sheets. Some notes and considerations in order to design a Land-Air BattleMech:
- Ensure you have the correct Rules Level and accompanying Era. LAMs never surpassed the 'Advanced stage', so you'll need to ensure that is selected, at a minimum.
And they likewise were not available until the 'Star League' era - To denote a unit as a LAM, you would select either 'Land-Air (Bimodal)' or 'Land-Air (Standard)' from the Chassis option.
- Each 'Bomb Bay' slot is added to LAM's as separate weapons, per the latest rules in Interstellar Operations. When adding a Bomb Bay, you'll be able to select which ammo type the bomb bay is equipped with, or you may indicate an [Empty] bay. The default ammo type for the Bomb Bay, which is not listed on record sheets, is High Explosive.
- All other construction restrictions are enforced. This includes tonnage limits of 55 or less, splittable equipment must be confined to a single location (e.g.,
AC/20), equipment which must be split across locations is not allowed (e.g., Endo Steel), and a whole host of other things which made coding LAMs a true blast!!
