I agree with ICER, for the most part military hardware is done with a specific task on mind, though there are plenty of "concept" designs, and plain crazy ideas

Design concept is most important, then known flaws. After that, I actually want to know about deployment, so I know where to expect to see one of these designs. Is it in widespread production and every house unit has at least one, or is it seen only on the Periphery border in limited trial runs, or what. Field Variants is also important because it gives you and idea of possible surprises you may encounter with this design.
The notable pilots section is what I miss in the new TROs. It was a good source of roleplaying info: you could have your players meet a "famous" person without them having to meet Prince Victor or someone like taht and get mixed up in the large scale politics.
