And based of his Facebook group (which I was added to without permission) it looks like we'll have two people wanting to do that Living Battletech crap at TotalCon...let's just say I'm not enthusiastic about that.

Essentially a campaign that runs through different events and conventions where your pilot gains experience and allows you to purchase skill levels, better mechs, etc.

It sounds great but it actually drives people away from the other events, and in many cases the players that show up to play those events don't play any of the other non-campaign style events. In other words, it's a drain on resources that never pays off in the end.

Exactly. Or not use it word for word. It's not like I invented the assault mech free for all, but he could've used his own words! At least he's a Kurita fan!
