Also, what is the point of having those 8 ER large lasers if you're never going to fire them all.
You fire all of the lasers. You generate 44 heat over what you can dissipate. You shut down. Your ammunition explodes. All of your rear armour dissapears. Your SSRM 6s are now pointless.
Despite this, you look very cool in the process and destroy whatever you wanted to.
I have calculated that the most lasers you could fire at once is 5 and even then you overheat by 8 if you're standing still. Why don't you remove 3 lasers and add a TC instead to make the design even more deadly. _________________

You only fire one arm at a time! It also makes its firepower much more durable/ sustainable. _________________ Times change.

Then why do you need 8 lasers?
Is it just to give better firepower in broader firing arcs?
I still think that 5 or 6 lasers with a TC and some more heat sinks would be better. _________________

Because you can never fire them all at once. The only reason I can think of is, as four lasers are mounted in each arm, you can achieve a greater arc of fire.
What I would do with the design, as I have said before, is remove 1 laser from each arm (+ 8 tons) add a clan spec. targeting computer (- 6 tons) and then add two more DHS.
I don't quite understand what Alisa meant when she said that "it makes firepower much more durable/ sustainable". If I did, maybe I would be able to comprehend her reasoning.
To me, 6 lasers firing all at once at a specific location (then spending the next turn cooling down) whilst being protected by the entourage this 'Mech would certainly have is better than only being able to fire 5 (while still overheating) at once at random locations. _________________

The arms are the weakest part of the Battlemech (besides rear torso armour) so rather than having four ER Lrg Lasers in one arm, I put 4 in both so that you still have four lasers, even if you lose an arm! Also, it looks super cool shooting quadruple large lasers from a single location! (I considered the asthetics whilst designing this 'Mech) _________________ Times change.

Also, I wnted to see how a variant of this 'Mech whould work, but when I searched up 'Warhammer', the Hypernova did not appear. Is there any reason for this? _________________
