It's been so long, I'd forgotten how to BattleMech.
Symmetry is boring, and has been known to clobber potential variants, so embrace the oddball.
Yes: An obvious weapons arm will draw fire; Just as obviously, you shield it, onto the point you stick the anti-infantry weapon on the other arm, and stick that out first when sweeping blind allies. I guess you could pull the small for an ER Medium, but Pulse Theme.
The weight gain? A XL 60-tonner should walk-6, IMAO, but that seems to come out lacking an Omnis' flexibility; So spend the money and make a bigger, better 'Mech. _________________ Goose
