Overview:
The Iron Wolf was an Idea pitched to Blackwell and Wolfs Dragoons shortly after the Dragoons
Civil War by an independent Mercenary command as part of their payment for Missions in the
ARDC. Blackwell completed 4 Prototypes of the mech using all off the shelf components, in
fairly quick time providing 2 to the Dragoons, and 2 to the Demon's Cutthroats. As of the
end of the Jihad, Only one functional prototype still exists. Blackwell and the Cutthroats
still owning the design rights. The current Commander of the Cutthroats is looking to
market the design to rebuild the regiment.
Capabilities:
Designed to move fast and hit hard, the Iron Wolf prototypes did not develop any standard
omni variants. The Mech comes Standard with ECM and Active probe systems, and Jump jets.
The weapons load out generally focuses on long range strikes and covering fire.
Deployment:
Personal Mech for Command James Lightfoot. The Witch fought in ever major Cutthroat
engagement during the Jihad. Currently she is being used for spare parts as after the
Demons death, the mech constantly will overheat. Only Demons teenaged Daughter seems to be
able to safely drive the mech, but she is as yet not a qualified mechwarrior until she
graduates NAIS. By that point its hoped that the Witch will be brought back into fighting
trim.
Variants:
One of the design variant on paper, the A is designed for long range engagements. Mounting
a pair of Clan ERPPCs one to an arm, torso mounted LRM15s with AIVFCS and 4 tons of ammo,
and 2 SPLs in the torsos for anti infantry work. It also comes equipped with ECM, AMS and a
TAG in place of the AP
