Trying this again, with one change...it will be using Discord (or Zoom if we can figure out dice rollers for it).

Would folks be interested in a one-on-one style tournament where players are pitted against each other in online play using Discord?
The specifics would be nailed down after we determine the number of people that want to play, but essentially you'd be given a pool of BV to "purchase" units, and then once you've chosen you'd pick from that list in each match-up, using each mech once per round.
Like I said, still some stuff to determine but first on the list in interest. The key: you must generally be available to play once per week (which will really likely be once per 10 days) based on EDT times (GMT -4 currently). |

You both set up a map with the mechs on it, and then play the game just like you were in the same room. Obviously you'd need to declare your move so the other can make the corresponding move on their map, but that would be the only difference.
Dice rolls would be using an app like rolisteam.org. I haven't looked really closely at those yet but lots of people use one so it can't be that difficult.

You could also try table top simulator. My son has been using it a lot lately. seems to be pretty good.

I'd rather use Megamek than TTS for BT unless doing an RPG.

I was all for MegaMech, but it seems like some don't want to do that...maybe have two different divisions/conferences here half use MegaMech and the other half something else?
I'm all for giving this a try as long as we can get people to agree on how the games are played.

You would set up the time of your match with your opponent. In theory, you'd have a week to get the match played, but if things went long we'd figure it out.
