Here's the thing... are they GOOD upgrades, or just upgrades?
I sure would hate to see another Phoenix Hawk treatment. Gah, what a mess...

Well...I haven't seen them all yet, but I imagine at least some are quite good...
Edit: Did you like the P-Hawk that was previewed on the CBT site? If not, there are 4 others you may like (5 total)...then there are the 11 Marauder, Marauder II and Marauder IIC varients, 4 Archer varients, 4 BattleMaster varients, 4 Goliath varients, 6 Griffin and Griffin IIC varients, 7 Locust and Locust IIC varients, 2 Ostroc varients, 2 Ostscout varients, 4 Ostsol varients, 6 Rifleman and Rifleman IIC varients, 2 Scorpion varients, 6 S-Hawk and S-Hawk IIC varients, 2 Stinger varients, 4 T-Bolt varients, 2 Valkyrie varients, 7 Warhammer varients, 2 Wasp varients and 4 Wolverine varients...something in these has got to impress you!
Edit again: and 3 Crusader varients too!
Edit once again: *sigh*...maybe I'll stop finding stuff on that master BV list now...there are also 3 additional varients for the P-Hawk IIC...although I don't really consider that...thing...a P-Hawk...

I haven't gotten a copy yet, but I've heard from someone that has it that one Archer upgrade carries the Light Guass rifle. Actually, the complaint was made that it seemed like every Marik upgrade carried a Light Guass rifle.
Ronin, waiting impatiently for RS:3067 to show up here so he can see the new Valkyrie.

I got my copy yesterday. Lots of units with C3 and especially C3i units (yay ComStar!). TCs and RACs are more common also.
My Valkyrie is now 5/8/5 with XL, 10 DHS, ER Medium Laser, LRM 15 (16 reloads) with Artemis and a TC. Still doesn't have a right hand
A whole bunch of modifications for the Unseens that are pretty deadly.
I did notice that there were no mods for the Grasshopper, another favorite design.
I'm still looking through as time permits.

The Grasshopper got its upgrades in the appropriately-titled Record sheets: Upgrades. There are two variants, one with pulse lasers, and the other (the only lvl1 variant in the whole volume) a 3025 variant of gods: it replaces the LRM 5 with a ML and then uses the tonnage to replace the LL with a PPC. How much cooler can they make an already excellent design?!? _________________ "Rear armour is defeatist!" - unknown Kuritan Mechwarrior

I knew that the Grasshopper was upgraded in RS:Upgrades, I was just wanting to see what else they could do with her. Like stealth armor maybe. Why? It'd be different, I guess. I'm surprised they didn't do a TC/pulse laser modification with DHS like a lot of other jumping mechs got.

I absolutely love the PPC variant of the standard Grasshopper.

Some of the upgrades are OK, a few outstanding, but so man are just and excuse to slap a bumch of new weapons on a mech.
I mean when are the designers going to realize XL and 4/6 movement isn't a good thing no matter how much more equipment you can add on?

Just curious...which do you consider OK and which do you consider outstanding?
Just for the record...
