I was reading over your profile and noticed you listed your rank as "Point Commander"... as a MechWarrior... But All a "Mech Point" is, is a lone mech. And IIRC A Trial of Position with two kills would rank you "Star Commander".

By the book this would be true. But the way We set up our game. You would need three kills to make that rank.
Although point commander in the Btech universe is every mech in a star formation. In ours, It's the second in commnad.
It was done for game balance.
Besides, Do you have any Idea how easy it is to kill two Mad Dogs with a Nova Cat prime

No your are correct.
But taking out a Mad Dog (Vulture) with a Nova Cat is dirt simple. so one kill is no biggie.

Another Mad Dog.
The last mech was another Nova Cat. undamaged, While I lost alot of armor to the Mad Dogs.
Is was a short a bloodly battle. And ended with 1 ERPPC and a Double rated AC 10 to the center. That blew it out the torso.

Didn't feel to good.
But I came close to taking out that third Mad Dog. another round of fire would have done it.
But that Darn Nova cat had other ideas.

In your trials is it a free for all? If I remember right, most Clans do the trial one 'mech at a time, just like honorable combat rules. If you were being attacked by more than one 'mech at a time, i'd call for a trial of grievence to try and retake the trial.
Thats what I see anyways...

Nope. It's a grand melee. I players get the same two mechs. 1 Mad Dog and 1 Nova Cat (The second mech acts as a wild card that the GM might take control of and really mess with you)

YEP, Straight out of "Way of the Clans" novel where Adian gets it in the back from his sibmate Marthe.
And to add to the game. I hold one trial for every player. With a time limit of 90 mintues.
The last trials had four players. So we held four diffrent trials. Here is the catch. They did not know whoes trials was when. (It kept them from ganging up on the any one person during their trials) Only I knew who was fighting for position at that time.
It made for a true grand melee. It rocked
