Now first published in American speak!
Printing Tip: You can use the site ilovepdf.com to change this image file into a PDF, as the scan unfortunately picked up static that shows as a gray shading area in some places making it look dirty, I advise to print in ink-saving mode to obtain a clean sheet without the shading.
Permission is granted to alter these sheets as you see fit, MS Paint will do.
BIG MAJOR CHANGE OF RULES! MUST READ!:
An attempt has been made to fit all the rules needed to play into the ‘Mech sheet. Everything is self explaining, but I will stress one point.
DAMAGE TRANSFER
That was one of the worst rules of many in the original game. Transferring the excess damage of one hit from a destroyed location to the next one meant that light ‘Mechs were useless and any other poorly armored ‘Mechs. I know it’s a game mechanics to speed up the game and destroy ‘Mechs quickly but it was unfair and unrealistic and gave a disproportionate advantage to the most powerful weapons like the PPC.
In fact in real life firing such a weapon as powerful as an AC/10 against a lightly armored target such as a 20 ton ‘Mech would result in tiny entry and exit holes as the armor piercing rounds would run through and through the thin armor without causing much damage unless hitting something vital in between.
If you aren’t convinced, look up battleship designs, many were built on the principle “all or nothing” the heavy armor only covered the vital parts of the ship like guns, magazines and machinery and the rest of the ship was unarmored, on the correct reasoning that a hit by a large caliber shell would result in the projectile just going through the thin plates and exiting on the other side without exploding.
I will answer any questions and explain the new and revised weapons and post the tonnage allocation under the construction rules in a follow up post, if anybody is interested at all _________________ Memento audare semper
