Overview:
    The Cicada CDA-4P would be designed as an upgrade to the CDA-3P by Westover BattleMechs in
    response to the release of the Hermes II-7A by rival company Irian Technologies. Not wanting
    to lose out on potential sales this update to the 3P would have a prototype out of the
    factory doors a mere 12 months after the 7A hit the market, although final introduction
    would come later. Uniquely Westover utilized two design teams working in competition, the
    rival and eventually cancelled 5P design would have incorporated clan-technology but was
    rejected for ease of procurement issues and price. The 4P would feature an IS endo-steel
    structure with 7 tons of IS ferro-armor. This would free up enough tonnage to equip the 4P
    with a Supercharger allowing it to reach speeds in excess of 140 km/h. In addition, the mech
    would replace its medium er-laser loadout with three medium X-pulse lasers.
