I can't find the answer in any of my books:
A: When loading cargo pods in a mech, how many criticals of stuff can you load into a one critical cargo pod, and what is the maxiumum weight of stuff you can load into a single critical pod?
B: When assigning multiple cargo pods into a mech, do you put in single critical one ton pods or a larger pod weighing ____ tons?
C: When a cargo pod is hit on a critical roll, the stuff inside is destroyed. If it's ammmo, does having CASE on the torso prevent the damage from spreading? _________________ I have the right to remain silent. Anything I say will undoubtedly incriminate me.

A: it would be reasonable to assume you can`t stuff two criticals` worth of stuff inside one cargo pod
B: no idea. why not divide the space as you see fit, as long as it`s clearly marked in advance. that way your opponent can`t well complain, can he?
C: certainly. why mount CASE at all if it doesn`t include your cargo pods?

Per the rBMR mechs can't allocate internal space for cargo, it must be mounted (unprotected) to the outside of the mech.
I believe any hit to the location that has cargo on it destroys the cargo.

I would say that since it weighs Half of a ton that you could get that much weight in it. But yes size would matter.
And I rember seeing that rule that a Battlemech couldnt mount a cargo pod. We changed that rule for our game. If you had the extra tonnage you could put it in your mech as long as it was in the Legs or Torso. Any hit does destroy it unless you have spent the tonnage to reinforce it. Its really a item used for Roleplaying.
We run a Special ops Merch unit so we need the cargo space, Mine was used for a hovercycle and weapons and other personal effects, which is what most of them were used for. and we figured that it was a approximate 5x5x5 container or depending on the size and placement of it in the torso a 6x8x6 container but in order to acess it you had to have the mech lay down.
Just some ideas for you to use.

Thats what I was thinking about Stinger, using the pod space to transport special-ops equipment. Also, I thought of a ammo-carrier mech. Ammo in the pods, with energy weaponry as defense. I could see it being used in blitzkreig campaigns, where these "supply mechs" could be used wheres vechicles would not be heavily armored enough or could not pass through the terrain. Mount CASE in the torsos and make sure to armor the pod crits, and I could see a nice ammo carrier.

yes there are.
unfortunatley, they are only for utility mechs.
meaning a battlemech cannont mount them.
they are 1 ton, and 1 crit.
