Notes: Ferro-Aluminum Armor. Equipped with Tug/Towing Adapter which allows troops to board a still active enemy vessel, with same heading and velocity.
Fluff: This ship was designed in the same project as the Great White, and is meant to work with it. True to this ships name, the Remora is designed to latch on and "Remove unwanted items" (quote from design leader). This ships is slower then the Great Whites, but only because the Great White is meant to move in quickly and draw the enemies fire away from the Remoras, while causing damage to the targeted ship, if necessary. Once the ships are docked, the GW then send their fighters to defend the Remoras from taking serious damage while off-loading its troops. Because of the chance of danger to the Remoras, the pilots are generally trained to be the best. As a general rule, there is one Remora for every jumpship, and two or three for every warship (depending on the expected resistance). There is also at least one Great White escorting the Remoras, even agaist jumpships, which generally do not prove that big of a threat.

It looks like it could do some damage; however, could you list the actual weapons used instead of just the categories?
BTW, AT2 suggests no more than 5 crew per officer.

Weapons: Large Pulse Lasers and IS small lasers (point defense). That is it.
As for the crew numbers, I thought that I had followed AT2's guidelines. Maybe I will read it again

What are IS-grade small lasers doing on a Clan assault dropsip? Who's even making and using this?
Anyhow, AT 2 *recommends* 5 crew per officer- it doesn't specificaly make it a rule.

I am not the only one to use IS lasers on a clan ship. The TRO's have them too. They are the only non-ammo weapons that work as point defense.
As for who is making/using this mech, I have no clue. I do not bother with affiliations, unless I am using specialty weapons.

With the naming convention I would venture to say Clan Diamond Shark. They would also have a vested interest in protecting say their vast merchant fleet.

I suppose that it could be the Daimond Sharks. But I realized something earlier, it would probably fit better with the Ghost Bears or Hell's Horse. Both of them focus heavily on elementals.

Then there's still a problem. The entire concept for the Remora and Great White make them sound like offense-based units; I have yet to find a report of Diamond Shark fighting outside of Tukkayyid and the Homeworlds. And if it is GB or HH, it would then have to be renamed and possibly modified. (Remember, the HH use conventional vehicles to a large extent for the Clans.) The Steel Vipers, however (IIRC) do still use a good deal of conventional infantry, so this may find a niche among them. Either way, this isn't Diamond Shark material. (Although, however, it would explain the IS small lasers. The other real alternative that would make sense would be Wolf-in-Exhile.)

Those are Battle Armored/Elemental Marines, not conventional Marines. I could see the Bears using this design before the Sharks, I was basing my assumption on the use of names. Why would the Bears name a ship class after a Shark? Unless of course the Sharks traded the design to the Bears hmmm....

There is a reason that the two ships would have these names, even if the Bears used them. If you know what a remora is, then you should know why I gave that name to the ship. If you do not know, then I will tell you. A remora is a fish that attaches itself to the side of certain sharks, such as great whites. That is what this ship does, using its tug adaptor. And since both were made in the same project and are meant to work together, that would mean they would have names that are closely related.
There would be a good reason as to why the Bears would use this design too. Protection for their Leviathan fleets. That would help ensure that no one harmed them.

??? Where did you get that from? I was saying that the Remora would be good protection for he Leviathan. By that time I had finished talking about why I had named it the Remora.
