Ok, I set out to design something to pack a puch. I wanted to fit 4 gauss rifles in with plenty of ammo, and since gauss rifles have that damn min range I added some really nice energy weapons to it. This is one of my favorites so far and I want to know what you think of it.

Im sorry man but that thing just couldent stand alone. i could send 3 Fire Moth D's after it at half the price and tare it to pieces. also you should put the MHL's in the arms so they can use the extended arcs and keep my firemoths from just standing behind you.

Actually i only voted bad. if it were to have other short range mechs as bodyguards it would be dangerous but as i said above. alone = not good

Too much Ammo. Change Placement of Lasers to arm, as DF said. Use Regular ML's and More of them for close range defense.

The idea of 4 gausses on mech is a lot of over kill...the fluff for the Galahad has pilots not liking it and that one only has two gauss rifles.

To me anything more then two of the same type main weapons is bordering on munchy. As much as I like the Annihlator, it to pushes the envlope on munch...

XL with 4 gauss...When the gauss start exploding and taking out the engine crits and ammo, it's going to be one extremely expensive mistake.

And actually not enough ammo. I tend to play extended campaings, and ammo is a killer. And since I've lost to many mechs due to ammo explosions (I know that these are gauss but hey they explode as well), I tend to steer clear of any ammo mechs. I dont see this as much more than a very expencive garrison mech.

I have a Clan scout mech with 6 (8?) SPL that moves 10-15-10. Presuming we were both 4g/5p, against that mech if you ran and I jumped 10 adjacent to you into an open hex you couldn't hit me with your Gauss Rifles (you'd need 13s) and would need 12s with your HML...and I'd need a maximum of 9s (and most likely would need 5 or 6).

It would take awhile, but eventually you'd lose.

Try changing the HML to MPL to make this thing "passable"

As I told Vagabond a few minutes ago on IM, this mech is "undefeated" when it's been used--about 10 times in a campaign setting. Its never been destroyed and has hardly ever been damaged.

Makes for a very cheap mech when you don't have to repair or replace it
