3 years ago if you invested $1000 in Enron your investment would be worth $24.66 today.
3 years ago if you invested $1000 in WorldCom your investment would be worth $31.75 today.
3 years ago if you bought $1000 worth of Budweiser, saved the empties, and returned them today you'd get $47.80 in bottle deposits.
And I'm not making that up

More if you live in Michigan, the deposits for emptys are $0.10 there  Course, the price goes up a bit too to reflect that, but it's all about using the product.

I'd have to do it with Coke or something, but I'd never tried. Probably, I mean, the can's a can? They probably don't worry about it since no one would bother.

You make no net gain actually, since you pay for the deposit when you purchase the product (I bought a 22 oz. Faygo Cherry Moon Mist this morning. It was $.69, but I get charged $.79 because I can redeem the bottle for $.10. So, in the end, I'm down for the original cost of the product before the man got his bite, $.69. Except I have 22 ounces of a nice Code Red ripoff in my stomach

No, I got it, you lose money both ways, except maybe Ahnheiser-Busch might be a better choice. Which is probably going to be there better choice for a while coming up, since with the new lays requiring CEO's to lay off the creative math, I've heard that a lot of skeletons are gonna get dragged out of the closet and beaten.
Still though, I'd invest in biotech or something. People always need medicine and insurance.

LOL, nope, you didn't get it.
You see, if you'd invested in the 2 companies you'd have lost a fortune and have nothing to show for it.
If you'd bought $1000 worth of beer you'd have drunk $1000 worth of beer and still have more money left over then the other 2 scenarios.
That's the joke.
