Overview:
As is displayed by the way that this mech is deployed, it is
intended to work as a heavy scout with strong strike capabilities.
The design was created by clan Ghost Bear in late 3056 for the
defense of planets that are attacked by clans Wolf and Smoke Jaguar.
Since that time many clans have challenged the Ghost Bears to Trials
of Possession for the technical specs of the mech.
Capabilities:
Mounting a single Extended Range Particle Projection Cannon and
enough heat sinks to easily deal with the heat, this mech is valued
by solahma units and is even looked at as a better-than-average
second-line mech by first class warriors. A few of these mechs have
been used to teach sibkos how to handle piloting and energy weapons,
since omni-mechs are too valuable to trust in the hands of
first-timers. The targeting computer in linked to the PPC helps
insure that this mech will be able to defend its base, even if the
pilot is a broken-down solahma pilot.
Deployment:
This mech is used by many of the clans for scout and strike
rolls. Occasionally a few are seen defending HQ's or other important
facilities.
Known Variants:
There are currently no varients for this design.

It basically is. The Pack Hunter is a great mech, but the jets would be useless in flat, open terrain. So I decided to make a verion that would work better on flat land. Even in mountainous this design would cause some problems for enemies.
