Overview:
The purpose of the Thunderstorm is for a light, mobile harrasser LAM that has the ability to get in and out of tough situations while implementing heavy firepower.
Capabilities:
The primary armament of the Thunderstorm is a pair of Streak SRM-4 launchers. They were chosen for the design because of their ammunition efficiency, accuracy, and damage potential. Backing the Streak launchers is a pair of extended range lasers, each mounted under the wrists. An anti-personnel pod is mounted in each leg, a deterrant for infantry that thinks that the slim Thunderstorm is easy prey to a satchel charge. The efficient Watchdog System is mounted within the sensor assembly, allowing for enhanced detection abilities as well as sensor protection. Finally, triple-strength myomers allow the Thunderstorm to run faster than normal. However, the design is increadibly heat-efficient, so the designers installed a set of cutoff switches, deactivating three of the eleven double heat sinks, allowing for enough heat to activate the myomers. The enhanced speed is typically used in AirMech mode, when the Thunderstorm needs ground maneuverability before having to take off.
Deployment:
Very few Thunderstorms are known to exist, and have only been seen in service with MacLeodÕs Irregulars and Seraphim Special Forces, the two companies that run the primary designs from Shakuras Industries.

That`s Mixed Tech, isn`t it? Clantech only doesn`t allow TSM.

Ya, it is. However, the manufacturer, Shakuras Industries, uses advanced technology that is neither Clan or standard Sphere. I just use Clan for construction because the equipment is similar.

| I think the a-pods are wasted tonnage. Any LAM pilot dumb enough to hold still long enough to let infantry kneecap him deserves to be humiliated that way.

I needed some form of anti-infantry defense... and I don't like MGs...
But I could do it as a variant... replace the A-Pods with 2 MGs in the right torso and a 1/2 ton of ammo in the left.
