BWAAAAAHAHAHA! I found the NorCal concert of his current tour (with Dream Theatre). Its SUNDAY! And tickets are still available. So...i get to see Satriani for the 2nd year in a row. And...well...it will mostl likely kick ass.

Yeah...I got the tickets yesterday. $37 per for the Lawn tickets. Not bad really, seeing how thats about how much i payed for tickets to the Warfield last year.
Anyways...anyone tell me about Kings X? I am not really sure who they are...i juts know they're opening the show.

Kings X is a 80's Heavy Metal band...Songs like 'Over my Head' ...

I saw "Kings X" in the early 90s at a local rock festival.
IMO they were horrible. The singer couldn't sing and the band all seemed to be playing at different tempos.
If it's the same group I'm surprised they're still around...

It is the same band...and I am downloading some of their songs to get a feel for them.

I've never heard any of their recordings--or at least none that I recall.
They blew huge chunks live though....

HAHAH! It was freaking awesome. And it didnt matter that i dont like King's X...cause we got there right AFTER their set! Ha...got there just in time for Dream Theatre to come on!
DT was pretty cool. I had already seen their guitarist (John Petrucci) at last years G3...but in the band he was even better.
Satriani rocked the place though. He played mostly older songs...only about 4 or 5 from the new CD. All the songs he did play were personal favorites (Cool #9 and Summer Song in there of course).
Awesome cocnert...worth the $40? Maybe. I also go a shirt. Cost as much as the ticket...ouch
