| Okay.. I'll buy that. However, I still say that the cost multiplier MUST be changed for monitors to become a realistic addtion to the game. Like I said earlier... you cannot buy two companies of Thunder Hawks (app. 22mil each), but you can buy one of these. Which is more efficient? (True, the monitor cannot take ground, but you could drop a battalion of mechs, and this cheapie could clear an area for them to hold)

You need a DropShip as well to ferry them from orbit to ground or have them use orbit drops which is a bit risky. Monitors are better at naval combats, while DropShips are intersystem crafts that can ferry anything from planet to orbit or to JumpShips parked at the Nadir points.
Dan, you could check out the link, we are having a debate on the Monitors (the latest of the several ones over the year) You could justify having a bigger cost multipler due to their high SI and resilency.
