Picked up the first issue of the American edition of Newtype Magazine today...it's cover article is about Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, a new Gundam anime tv series that begins (began?) airing this month in Japan...as well as the Gundam series "For the Barrel"...
Oh, and it has a centerfold of Faye Valentine from Cowboy Bebop as well (for those interested in that...and no nudity guys, get your heads out of the gutter...you're all too far beneath Faye for her to give you that sort of satisfaction  ), along with a Sakura Wars poster, and articles on many other series such as Tenchi Muyo! GXP, Full Metal Panic! (including a preview of the manga), Final Fantasy: Unlimited (yes, another Final Fantasy anime, although this looks a bit better than the first one I saw), Battlefield Earth (the anime tv series) among many others...it's going to take me a while to read over this entire mag...it may have been $10, but at nearly 200 pages (and all it covers), plus the Full Metal Panic! manga insert and the DVD anime guide that was included with it, I think it's well worth the price
Also, this month's Animerica has an article on G Gundam...

I don't think we really want Turn A Gundam, all I've heard from people who've seen it was, it sucked, I'd rather eat a gun-barrel than watch that again, it left me as confused as a hungery baby in a topless club. so yeah I'm not going to watch it unless EXTREMELY bored. As for SEED, havn't heard anything yet... but I'm not impressed by the Mecha

Well...screw Turn A...we need the good series'...like Zeta, Double Z, F-90 and V Gundam.
I am sick of the non UC series' getting all the air time. By the time the UCs get into play, the Gundam franchise will be washed up in America, and nobody will care.

1) F91 was a movie...was going to be a series, but they only made the movie and did the rest of the story as a manga...
2) I've seen the first two eps of Turn A, and liked what I saw...and most of the people I've heard talk of it really liked it...but then again, IIRC, that's coming from people like Mark Simmons, and he don't know nothing about Gundam, do he?
