That's because the skylight is open.

(and I'm moving this from "General Discussion" to "Bar & Grill")

Mordel walks over to the switch and attempts to close the opening. He flicks it a couple times, but nothing happens. Well, looks like the switch is broke. Gonna have to wait for a repairman I guess.

Horhiro slightly peturbed by the snow falling in the B&G looks up at the skylight stuck open. "mmnnn, if Mordel had only purchased a sturdy manual version from the Combine instead of those cheap electronic versions so rampant in the Commonwealth" he thinks.

With Ninja quietness he moves over to the wall near the switch. With Arthur Fonzerelli presicion he abruptly elbows the wall directly above the switch with great force. As the stunned patrons look up from their drunken stupors, the hear the reasuring whine of an electric motor. The skylight shuts. Once again Horhiro has saved the day.

After a quick trip to the bar, Horhiro spots Hardware in the corner tinkering with some sort of hand-held computer. On the way over to his table he nonchalantly veers by the juke box playing some Brittany clone Techno babble crap.

Without breaking stride he slightly nudges the machine. The noise stops mid song. After a brief pause a new song kicks on, at twice the volume.

"You ain't nothin but a Hound Dog!... Cryin all the time!...

"Hai! Long Live the KING!"

Its not the snow because other pages are loading slow without the snow...must be a host issue.

Well, once the page is loaded, it no longer goes to the host for info. Everything is on your PC and then your browser/processor takes over from there. It's a loop that draws and snoflakes. So, if things are slow, I have to ask what browser are you using and what type of PC do you have, speed and memory wise?

It might just be my imagination wanting to find some reason to get rid of it because I just find it annoying...like those damnable popups...but I am using IE 6.0, and my computer has a 900MHz processor, with 112 Megs RAM...

That's it them Ruger not enough RAM. I'm using 512 Mb and I don't have a problem. Mine's slow due to 40 year old phone lines.
