Something I have been tossing around and the discussion over on Rick's board about Stealth Armor really got me to thinking about it some more...
How about this for a better way to handle ECM in BT, take the rules for Stealth armor toss the armor part, lower the heat to say 3 or 4 points, keep the modifers to the ranges, add in what ECM would normally jam and make that the rule for ECM...
I know it's now NOT (edit to add in the correct word  ) perfect, but what do you guys think?

Well, at least you can spell even while doing two things at once...
And your idea does have merit. Ordinary ECM is almost pointless as it is, combining it with Stealth Armor mods may be the thing. Now if only the Active Probe was useful for something too. How about allowing a BAP mech to ignore the targetting effects of your ECM, ie it doesn`t take the extra mods for range?

It's an idea...my group uses BAP as it allows for dection of units, prevents any unit other then infantry to hide during a game.
So allowing it to cancel out the ECM's range modifers it's a bad idea...will added this to my long notes on ECM.
