aside from the source book and the bits around when they found the clans homeworlds, I don't think there's anything new about them. Unless there's something in a new field manual somewhere

The fact that a Smoke Jaguar betrayed his own clan kinda put them out of a mission. So I would seriously doubt that Teddy K. is still funding them and with Comstar's loss of Terra they are probably all but done for.

They could still be around doing the second part of their mission finding lost worlds and former SL colonies and mapping the space around the know worlds of the Inner Sphere.

They probably are, however, I would imagine their funding has been cut seriously. Their mission is of secondary or lower nature now.

I agree, but I don't think they are disbanned though, given the nature and the need of better stellar maps or charts it would be in the best interest of ComStar and House Kurtia to keep some funds in the coffers of the Corps.
They could also be an early warning type of group for any attacks or moves made by the Home Clans in regards to their moving toward the Inner Sphere.

I never said they were disbanded. Just lacking funds.

A lot can be done to the directions of Outworlds Alliance or Rim Worlds Republic. But if you remember the histories, the whole area past the MOC and TC had many more worlds but lost contact after the collapse of the Star League. That could be real cool, find many inhabited worlds, but no advanced tech. Maybe that is where WOB got the man power and parts. Train them, use the raw resources and slap down a few plants, WALA, many new vehicle and infantry units, hell Warship dry docks in hiding to unleash on the IS.
Plus for all you wishers, the Explorer Corp is needed to find Clan Wolverine one day, or some other fun insect aliens that have mind powers and over run the ….. Yeah right.
