Agreed chihawk. My favorite is still El dorado, followed closely by "The Flying leathernecks" "the longest day" and several others that I cant remember at the moment :/

He won the Best Actor Oscar for True Grit, but The Shootist is by far his best performance....
...he did make some bad movies, but all in all there will never be a movie star like John Wayne again.

Hey! It`s only last Monday that I watched The Shootist. It was certainly a good movie, the people were important instead of the guns. They don`t make them like that today. Now it`s only big explosions and several barrels worth of blood.
